"Jordanian Women's Union holds a workshop for judges and prosecutors for training on the human trafficking Standard operational procedures (SOPs)"
Jordanian Women's Union (JWU) organized a training workshop titled "Training on the human trafficking Standard operational procedures for Judges and Prosecutors." This falls within the national legislative framework to combat human trafficking, as a continuation of previous efforts by JWU in collaboration with the Judicial Council. As part of these efforts, SOPs was developed titled "Elements of the Crime of Human Trafficking and Procedures for Protection and Assistance to Victims for Judges and Prosecutors, 2022."
The workshop took place at the Dead Sea – August 8th and 9th - and aimed to train judges and prosecutors on the SOPs. The opening speeches were delivered on the first day by Ms Nadia Shamroukh (JWU general manager) followed by the training sessions with the great informative intervention by the trainers (dr. Muhannad Dweikat, Judge Dr. Hassan Al-Abdallat, Judge Ali Al-Massimi and Mr. Mohammad Bader).
It's worth mentioning that this project is funded by the Heinrich Böll Foundation.
